Google I/O 2018 on PWA’s: Maximising on Fast, Reliable and Engaging Experiences for Users.

From one of the May 8th 2018 Google I/O sessions, we have a presentation from Jenny Gove and Pete Lapage of the Google Team on how PWA Apps  are delivering a better performance for users.

The presentations makes a strong case on how key fundamental UX concepts integrates perfectly with PWA technology by demonstrating the ordering process for a coffee with the new Starbucks App and offline capabilities on Google Search  also.

The most significant idea that we learn from both speakers is that Progressive Web Apps are targeting to satisfy “people’s patience” by providing an efficient  data delivery of only the requested information which results in fast user interactions.

This becomes a fact by looking at stats from several PWA e-commerce projects currently on the market .
